Treatment technique and mechanism
Embody™ CryoSlim & Shape uses precise, alternating heating and cooling delivered through a handheld cryo wand. A technician first applies a conductive gel, then cycles temperatures between 24.8°F and 104°F while gliding the wand across the chosen area. This controlled thermal contrast is the core method the device uses to influence local tissue over repeated sessions.
The wand is used with a specific massage technique rather than suction, so the treatment is non‑invasive and described as pain‑free by many clients. A separate massage wand and a 10‑minute vibration therapy segment are included in each appointment to support circulation and the protocol’s intended effects on body contouring.
What happens during appointments
Appointments are scheduled for 60 minutes; the active hands‑on treatment typically takes about 45 minutes, leaving time for prep and brief aftercare. During your visit the technician will confirm which area you want to target—abdomen, love handles, thighs, arms or upper back—apply gel, and perform the alternating hot/cold passes with the cryo wand.
There is no suction and the procedure requires zero downtime, so most clients return to their day immediately after a session. Embody Wellness Retreat’s location along the North US‑52 corridor in Downtown Moncks Corner makes evening or weekend scheduling convenient for commuters heading to Charleston, Goose Creek, or Summerville.
Course planning and expectations
For best guidance we recommend a course of 5 or more sessions, with appointments spaced every two weeks. We offer multi‑session pricing which is discussed at your initial appointment. Occasional maintenance sessions may be suggested by your technician after you reach your goals to help preserve outcomes over time.
Results depend on the number of sessions, the area treated, and personal factors, so individual outcomes vary. Many local clients fit sessions around family weekends and outdoor activities on Lake Moultrie; our evening and weekend hours are intended to make repeated treatments practical for busy schedules.
