Get answers to common questions about Lymphatic Dry Brushing.
The therapist uses gentle, directional strokes toward lymph nodes to exfoliate skin and stimulate lymph flow. Expect light pressure, pleasant tingling, and immediate smoother skin. Sessions typically feel invigorating and relaxing, lasting just a few minutes as an add-on enhancement.
Yes with precautions: for sensitive or inflamed skin we use very soft brushes and reduced pressure. If you have active rashes, open wounds, severe eczema or recent sunburn, we’ll recommend skipping or an alternative treatment to avoid irritation.
For spa add-ons we typically recommend one session per week, or as advised by your therapist. At-home dry brushing can be done three to five times weekly. Frequency depends on skin sensitivity and specific wellness goals.
It can help reduce mild bloating and fluid retention by encouraging lymph movement, but it's not a medical treatment. Results vary and are temporary; combine brushing with hydration, gentle movement, and a balanced diet for best effects.
Avoid dry brushing with active infections, open wounds, recent surgery, diagnosed lymphedema, blood clots, or severe varicose veins. Inform us about medical conditions or pregnancy so we can tailor or postpone the treatment safely.
Before your appointment, hydrate and arrive with clean, dry skin. After treatment, apply a nourishing oil or moisturizer, drink water, and avoid intense heat or additional exfoliation for 24 hours to protect refreshed skin.
